Social Media and Third-Party Platform Integrations

The IQ Platform provides functionality that may allow authorised customers to connect supported third-party services, including Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram, operated by Meta Platforms.

When an authorised customer connects one of these services, The IQ Platform may access, receive, process and store information made available through the relevant platform's authorised APIs, according to the permissions granted and the features enabled.

Information processed may include:

  • Connected account names, identifiers and profile information.

  • Facebook Page and Instagram professional account information.

  • Messages, comments, replies and related conversation information.

  • Publicly available or permission-authorised media, including images and videos.

  • Post identifiers, timestamps, engagement information and available analytics.

  • Information required to authenticate and maintain an authorised connection, including access tokens and associated account permissions.

Purposes of processing

Information obtained through these integrations is processed only for legitimate product functions authorised by the customer and permitted by the relevant platform, including:

  • Displaying social messages and comments in a unified audience inbox.

  • Allowing authorised users to respond to audience interactions.

  • Supporting moderation and customer-defined audience management workflows.

  • Preparing content for broadcast production and show planning.

  • Publishing and scheduling authorised content to connected accounts.

  • Providing permitted reporting, analytics and operational support.

  • Maintaining the security and reliability of connected integrations.

Access to these functions is subject to applicable platform permissions, customer authorisation and the technical capabilities available.

Data access and storage

Social media information may be processed within customer-managed IQ Platform installations or supporting infrastructure operated by The IQ Platform Ltd., according to the applicable deployment configuration.

Access is restricted through appropriate security and authorisation controls.

Access tokens and other sensitive integration credentials must be protected against unauthorised access and disclosure.

Data sharing

Information obtained through Facebook and Instagram integrations is not sold to third parties.

It is processed for the authorised service purposes described above, subject to applicable laws, customer agreements and third-party platform requirements.

Retention and deletion

Information obtained through social media integrations is retained only for as long as necessary for an authorised purpose, subject to applicable legal obligations and platform requirements.

Users and customers may request deletion of relevant personal information through the process described in our Data Deletion Instructions.

Disconnecting a social media account prevents further authorised access through that connection, but may not automatically remove information previously processed or stored. Requests to delete previously obtained data will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

Third-party platform policies

Use of Facebook and Instagram remains subject to Meta's applicable terms, policies and privacy practices.

The IQ Platform is an independent software platform and is not owned, operated or endorsed by Meta Platforms.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer required, we will securely delete it, anonymise it, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and our information management practices. Data obtained through third-party APIs is also subject to applicable platform-specific deletion and retention requirements.

5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. These measures may include:

We require service providers that process personal information on our behalf to handle that
information appropriately and, where required, to maintain suitable privacy and security safeguards. We may also use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, including for statistical, analytical, business or marketing purposes.

7. International Data Transfers
Depending on where our business, service providers and technology infrastructure are located, your personal information may be stored or processed in countries other than the country in which you are located.
Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that international transfers of personal information are subject to suitable safeguards.
